Deadlifts Determine 2010 NASA PRO Power Sports Meet
Vashon Perryman(KS, Left) and Desmond Phillips(OH, Right) both took 1st Place in the Deadlift Divisions, and the Total Divisions, at the 2010 PRO Power Sports Meet.
The Meet doesn't start until the Bar hits the Floor, and Deadlifts were the determining factor in both the Lightweight and Heavyweight Divisions, at the 2010 NASA PRO Power Sports Meet. Vashon Perrymans(KS) won the Lightweight Total Division, and the Lightweight Deadlift Division, with respective coefficients of 6.6633 and 3.7588. Desmond Phillips won the Heavyweight Total Division, and the Heavyweight Deadlift Division, with respective coefficients of 7.0641 and 3.7724. Both are past winners of the $600 NASA Championship Belts. Lifting competition was intense, although the Meet did have its lighter moments, as when Bud Dickman(Rich Baker), Officer Dangle from Reno 911(Jeff Blaine), and the Burger King(Job Hou-Seye) made their appearances. The 3rd Annual PRO Power Sports Meet was the 2nd largest in terms of the number of lifters that competed, and it was the largest, so far, in terms of Bonus Money paid out. The NASA PRO Meets continue to lead the Powerlifting World in terms of actual Cash paid out at PRO Meets.

Largest NASA Wisconsin State Meet In 10 Years
The Sheboygan Falls YMCA played host to the largest NASA Wisconsin State Meet in over 10 years, on October 2nd, 2010. In 2007, the Wisconsin State Meet was held at Germantown Health and Fitness, where there were 35 Lifters in 53 Divisions. At this year's State Meet, however, there were 39 Lifters in 55 Divisions. "This is a good sign of an Economy that is recovering, at least for Powerlifting," said State Chairman Job Hou-Seye. "I expect we will see our Regional Meet, in May of 2011, push over 70 Entries, if not close to the 80 Entry Mark." Fully 14 of the 39 Lifters were new Lifters.
