2010 Chippewa Classic - Wisconsin Regional:
RECORDS, RECORDS, RECORDS...
Anyway you look at it, it was a Record Weekend for NASA-Wisconsin Powerlifting in Chippewa Falls, at the top of May.
On the evening of Friday, April 30
th
, there was a Wisconsin Record of 32 in attendance for the Annual Wisconsin Powerlifting Banquet, where Wisconsin’s 2009 Overall Athlete of the Year(
PAGE 6
) was named, as well as about a dozen other 2009 Wisconsin Athlete of the Year award recipients. Brad Aldag was named the Wisconsin Teen Athlete of the Decade, and David Anderson was named the Wisconsin Master’s Athlete of the Decade, for the period from 2000 to 2009.
On Saturday, May 1
st
, the Chippewa Classic had a Record 57 Entries for that Meet, which was also the largest number of Entries in the last 3 years for any Wisconsin Powerlifting Meet.
There was also a LARGE number of Records set or broken. Lifters are reminded that they have until June 1
st
to send American Record forms to Clyde Lynn, in Lubbock, TX, and State Record forms to Wendy Hou-Seye in Sheboygan, WI, or their Records will not be posted.
Due to the Evident Success of the Meet, Chippewa Falls has been named as the City to host the 2011 Wisconsin State Meet, in October of 2011.

HENRY THOMASON:
N.A.S.A's Most Prolific Lifter
by Wendy Hou-Seye
Henry Thomason currently holds the highest single-ply total of all time in NASA. In 2007, both Henry and Samson(10) lifted in 18 NASA meets, only to find out that NASA’s 2007 Overall Athlete of the Year, Earl Eavett, held the record at 19 NASA meets in a single year. Not to be outdone, Henry came back in 2008, and lifted in 20 NASA meets, to take the spot as NASA’s most prolific lifter of all time. For all of these reasons, and because he is my favorite "cougar-hunter," I chose Henry as our NASA lifter to be interviewed for the month of May(
Gotcha Henry!
).
Wendy: When did you get started in lifting and what was your motivation to become a lifter?
Henry walks out, and descends, with a 948 Lbs. Squat
