Wisconsin Powerlifting News, Volume 2, Issue 3, May 23rd, 2010, Page 4
(Continued from PAGE 1) Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin is located in an amazingly beautiful area. Equally amazing, is the amount of help we always have at the Chippewa Classic, for both Setup and Loadout. I could be imagining it, but it seems like there is more and more help every year that we return to put on the Chippewa Classic Meet. At some venues, my back is sore for a day or two after the Meet, due to the lack of support after the Meet is over with. However, this is never the case in Chippewa Falls, which makes it one of our favorite and most pleasureable places to run a Powerlifting Meet. There are too many highlights to include them all, but I do want to mention a few. For the 3rd consecutive year, Steve Korff won the Galileo Cup Award, which is determined by using the Galileo Factor to determine whether the Best Lifter at the Meet is an Equipped Lifter, or an Unequipped Lifter. In all 3 years, Korff has lifted Unequipped, and beaten the Equipped Lifters when the Galileo Factor is applied. The Sheboygan Falls lifter was chosen for Team Wisconsin, and is booked on the same Flight with 12 others who are flying to the World Cup Meet in Denver, Colorado. There were a lot of new Lifters, many of which put on fine performances, and whom we are sure will have Great Lifting Careers. Many thanks to Richard Anderson for announcing, Bob Brodt for putting all of the details together in Chippewa Falls, and to the Teenagers from the High School who helped Spot-n-Load at the Meet. Bill Richlen, owner of the Gym, also pitched in to help Load for Deadlifts. Thanks to all of our Referees, including Brad Aldag, Matt Zei, Wendy Hou-Seye, Jim Tabbert, and David Oyler. A HUGE THANKS to Asher Sharon and his wife Lesley who came up from Milwaukee, and while Lesley helped Scorekeep for Rich Anderson, Asher both Refereed and Loaded(I think he worked every Flight!). Thanks to all of the Spectators who came out to cheer on our Lifters, and thanks to the Vendor/Sponsors who helped to make the Event possible. Last but not least, thanks to all of the Lifters who made this a Great Meet.
